2018 School Leaders

Induction

Our Student Leaders during their induction at the Beginning School Mass. Unfortunately, Alice was unwell on the night but was presented with her badge at school the next day. Alice, Rumiya, Zoe, Georgia and Adrian are embracing their new responsibilities as leaders and we are very proud of them.

International Women’s Day and Our School Leaders

On Friday 2nd March, 2018, our Year 6 girl leaders and Mrs Herden attended a luncheon to celebrate International Women’s Day at the Uralla Bowling Club. The girls represented the school with pride and gratitude for being selected to attend such a wonderful event. During lunch the girls planned and wrote a mock news article to be presented by guest speaker, Caitlyn Furlong, ABC Radio News presenter. There was great delight when their article was chosen.

Below is the article:

“Good afternoon leaders of the future”, we are reporting live from the International Women’s Day at Uralla. This function is for women, encouraging them to be strong and to make a difference. We as young women know to make a difference in the future. We are going to make a difference by enabling women and men to have equal rights.”
